Hyperkind began as Oxide Interactive in 2003.
Over more than two decades, our work evolved to delivering whole-of-government digital systems, and websites used by millions of people. The questions became more complex, the systems more critical, and the work increasing visible to public scrutiny.
Hyperkind is the name that finally fits where we landed. Focused on public good, grounded in experience, and deliberate about how digital capability is used in the world.
Leadership
Alexi Paschalidis, CEO
Alexi first founded Oxide Interactive and has spent more than 25 years leading the delivery of digital systems for government, cultural, and public-sector organisations. Across hundreds of projects, he has delivered public launches, high visibility, and long-term responsibility.
Hyperkind reflects how Alexi leads today. It is a deliberate evolution shaped by experience, bringing together smaller, values-aligned teams, and a way of working designed to carry ambition through to delivery.
Erin Starling, Delivery Manager
Erin manages service delivery and has been with us for over a decade. She brings deep operational knowledge of our work, our clients, and the realities of delivering digital projects on target. Erin provides steady oversight across engagements, with calm judgement that helps maintain consistency, trust, and momentum from start to finish.
Purpose in what we do
These outcomes shape everyday experiences with public services, and where we choose to focus our work:
- Transparency that drives trust through public information and data that people can understand and use.
- Learning without barriers so access to knowledge does not depend on circumstances.
- Reliable health info and guidance so important decisions are informed by evidence people can trust.
- Preserving stories and identity so culture and memory remain accessible, relevant, and alive.
- Public systems people can rely on that are fair, resilient, and worthy of confidence.
