Join our team
Hyperkind is an evolution of a long-standing practice, shaped into a more intentional form. We are a deliberately small team, supported by a trusted ecosystem of specialist partners — and ambitious in the scale and impact of the work we take on.
We are looking for people who enjoy thinking alongside clients, beyond just delivering to a brief. The work here often involves helping organisations understand what is possible, make better decisions, and move with confidence through unfamiliar territory.
If you are curious, happy explaining your thinking, and motivated by work that values judgement as much as craft, Hyperkind might just be the place you're looking for.
About the role
Hyperkind is looking for a Digital Producer based in Canberra or Melbourne to help keep our work organised, visible and moving.
We are a purpose-led digital agency working with government and social impact organisations. Over more than two decades, our work has grown to include whole-of-government platforms, high-traffic Drupal websites, and digital services people rely on well after launch.
We are deliberately small, supported by a trusted ecosystem of specialist partners, and ambitious in the scale and impact of the work we take on. This role helps us deliver high-quality work on time, with a smooth experience for clients and the team.
This is a hands-on role for someone organised, energetic and persistent: the kind of person who brings order to moving parts, communicates clearly when things get in the way, and follows through until work is properly finished.
You’ll work closely with our Director, who leads client relationships, scoping, delivery direction and commercial decisions. Your role is to turn that scope and direction into organised delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate the daily production flow for the team across projects, support, and proposals.
- Plan the work, then keep Jira, schedules, actions, blockers and follow-up current.
- Help ensure work is clear, approved, prioritised and ready before it reaches the team.
- Liaise with clients and gather team inputs for delivery updates, testing, UAT and reporting.
- Monitor time and budget movement against agreed plans and surface issues early.
- Bring issues to a clear decision point so work can keep moving.
What we’re looking for
- 3+ years experience in a Digital Producer, Project Coordinator, or similar role.
- Experience in a digital agency environment, coordinating developers, designers and clients.
- Strong organisation, follow-through and attention to detail.
- A calm, proactive and practical approach when work is unclear, blocked or changing.
- Confidence asking questions, chasing inputs and pushing work back into clarity.
- Enough digital fluency to work confidently with developers, designers, clients and our tools.
- Clear written communication across notes, actions, status updates and client follow-up.
- Good judgement about when to resolve something directly, gather options or escalate.
- A commitment to quality outcomes, reliable delivery and honouring commitments.
- Interest in developing your skills and capability over time.
What you’ll get with us
- Collaborative, experienced team working across a wide range of Drupal-focused projects, from large applications to smaller creative builds.
- Casual, flexible, mostly remote environment (1 day co-working), open decision-making, and a strong focus on learning, continuous improvement, and mastery of craft.
- Clear expectations, structured onboarding, regular feedback, and established delivery routines to help you settle in quickly and contribute with confidence.
- Digital Producer
- Canberra or Melbourne
- Full-time
- $90-110k plus Super, based on experience
