The Pharmaceutical Society of Australia needed to uplift the Australian Pharmaceutical Formulary and Handbook (APF) from a printed reference into a digital platform, making vital pharmacy knowledge accessible for pharmacists wherever their work takes them.
Purpose
The APF exists to ensure all pharmacists have timely, reliable access to evidence-based guidance, supporting safe, effective medicine use and strengthening public trust in pharmacy practice across Australia.
Challenge
Our task was to connect APF’s rich, collaboratively authored content with secure, flexible digital access - balancing the need for open information with the protection of PSA’s flagship intellectual property, while enabling rapid, intuitive search for busy professionals.

Integrating MasterDocs with Drupal gives PSA’s editorial team confidence in version control and accuracy. The digital workflow supports a large team collaborating over years, ensuring the published APF matches the latest evidence and standards.
